Hi everyone,

I am currently looking forward to set up e-commerce and website for someone who only speaks french.

The "EDIT" "PROMOTE" "CONTENT" "CUSTOMIZE" and regular popups are in english, and may have difficulties to edit the odoo website by herself.

The settings in backend user interface seems to be correct (user prefered language and global language are set to french) as the backend odoo menu is all in french.

Not the frontend odoo website/ecommerce.

Is that an issue, or a mistake from me ?

You can translate that menu very easily.
1. Go to settings > Application terms > Translated terms
2. Search what you want to translate, for example 'Customize' as Translation value. (http://i.imgur.com/gwfG7i3.png)
3. Edit the translation to whatever you want and save.

Thats it! :)

Thank you for the tip Yenthe ! I tried it for several terms but it doesn't work ... I still have my menu in english, even if I synchronize terms and only set my favorite language as default for backend, frontened, and user profile. May this be a bug, as my odoo database was created before final release of V8 ? Or any way to force a refresh of my website ?

Well I have a pre-stable Odoo version and it works for me. Which one exactly do you have? If you find a word of the website / menu bar, translate it and save it nothing happens? Could you give me some screens / a sample so I could perhaps duplicate this scenario?
