I get error when I try to create log file via docker. Error I get: 

ERROR: couldn't create the logfile directory. Logging to the standard output.

My Odoo.conf file:

Hello

You have to make sure that the path where you want the log to be created has write permissions. Odoo containers for docker use a user named "odoo" and not root

Exactly as david mentionned so make sure that an user with same UID of "odoo" exist at the host and has write permission in the folder or just set permission of the folder to 777
