V18 community at this point installed on Ubuntu on AWS using RDS for database. NGNIX for https 

The parameter 

keeps reverting to odooserver instead of the domain name it should be, breaking calendaring and other functions.  Any ideas how to address this?  What is the root cause?
As well, can't seem to effectively edit robots.txt if might be part of the same problem.
