My name is Jurgen, and I've been working at Odoo for nearly two years. I started in the R&D department as a Software Developer, where I first focused on general HR apps, but over time, I’ve specialized in improving the Payroll ecosystem. In the past few months, I've been developing the Swiss Payroll Module, aiming to get it Swissdec certified by the end of the year.
This talk will provide a technical overview of how we extended Odoo’s base Payroll models and interface to meet the specific requirements of Switzerland.
We’ll discuss the modifications and enhancements made to handle Swiss-specific elements such as wage types, insurance contributions, tax at source and integrated transmission with relevant authorities.
I’ll also cover the technical challenges we faced and the solutions we implemented, particularly in preparation for the Swissdec certification.
By the end of this session, you’ll have a clear understanding of how we tailored Odoo to handle the complexities of Payroll in Switzerland!
