Pierre-François BerneHotové
Dave grew up moving around the eastern half of the United States living in East Chicago, Indiana; Evanston, Illinois; Hastings-on-Hudson, New York; Covington, Louisiana; East Lansing, Michigan; Oxford, Ohio; Deerfield, Illinois. Dave attended Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio and in Luxembourg twice during college. After graduating from Miami Dave married his college sweetheart and moved to Austin, Texas where they have lived ever since.
Dave will tell you, "We're all in sales. Some just do it professionally." Dave has been in professional sales for 30+ years in both construction and real estate, and in automotive retail systems/technology (ERP, DMS, CRM...). Dave set records and received numerous awards and commendations over the years for sales excellence.
Dave's talk "StorySelling" was an outgrowth of trying to compile voluminous types of unstructured information into a simple to digest message. The objective of Dave's talk on StorySelling is to explain why we should use stories to sell and to provide a simple framework for telling powerful stories.
Storyselling is the art of telling a story to attract your audience, so they remember, connect, and perceive the benefits of acquiring your product or service. As a result, it entails connecting with them through narratives that awaken their interest, and in the end, make them fall in love with what you have to offer.
StorySelling has exciting potential for a sales team. Using stories will help you:- capture the client’s attention
- forge an honest relationship
- motivate the consumer to take action
- create a context around the data that makes them more relevant and exciting.
