I have installed my server on ubuntu 12.04, and now i need that the computers in my network reaches to this server...
my server UBUNTU ---> WIndows 8 Openerp Client ^---Windows Vista Client
i need to know how can i connect them i try to put the IP form the server but it stills shows no possble connection or something like this.
Fixed! Thnks! i couldnt install openerp 6.0.4 on ubuntu so i have to install 7, with this i can't use the gtk cliente.
You only have to use the IP. For example if you had installed your openerp in 8069 port.
On your server: localhost:8069
On windows: 192.168.1.4:8069
Try with ping between computers and that your ports are accesible.
calling from windows (Chrome) i get the error 501 server does not support this operation. From the openerp-client in windows using the ip - dosen't shows the database.

Can you ping the server from the client ? Is there any firewalling between the hosts ? Maybe a Windows firewall ?
Yeap! ping correct, i use putty also, and works fine with the IP
