Establishment of the centre:In the year 2007, The late His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a federal decree Law No. (6) Of the year 2007 to establish the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

To achieve excellence in meteorological and seismological services and contribute to the development of science through the promotion of the sustainable development of the UAE.
Mission:
The National Center of Meteorology aims to unite the sources of meteorological and seismological information across the UAE, to monitor changes occurring in the atmosphere and the earth's crust and to deliver meteorological services.
