in odoo 15 online, We have users that are processing sales order but only the sales Manager should be able to generate the Invoices. So we modified the Sales groups, but did not succeed. It seems the setup is now in a mess as we created new groups too. 

How to reset the groups and its permissins to default?

Also an administrator can no longer open the settings app. What permissins are missing?

Is there somewhere a guide for managing permissins?

Hi Orejita de Burro,

You might have removed the user from "Administration / Access Rights" group.

Solution 1: If you have another admin user.
Login with another admin -> Goto settings -> Users & Companies -> users -> select user(who you want to give admin right) -> 'Administration' field -> select settings

Solution 2: Raise a support ticket, Ask to odoo team for the same.
Click on your profile -> support
