+1000 Yury but also here is the problem of copyright infringing stuff and it is not clear who actually checks what is still copyrighted by Odoo S.A. and as they said that anybody who read the code - actually all Odoo partners have access to it and might get inspired (like they call it - together mentioned with rip off - in their source code) by someone who had access. So trusting AGPL alone won't work to be secure I think! Keep away from Partners would for sure do a better job!

https://web.archive.org/web/20171020191737/https://www.odoo.com/apps/themes/10.0/child_backend_theme_coffee/
https://web.archive.org/web/20171020191424/https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/10.0/website_form_builder_73lines/
only two examples listed still on their websites as you can see! Accessible by search engines with absolutely no hint that perhaps something in those codes infringes or not infringes whatsoever! Just the opposite is the case as they still use those infringing pages as a way to get a better ranking in search engines - a very strange behavior I would say!

I really hope that OCA steps out and starts its own roadmap, its own SAFE of ODOO S.A. infringing stuff as it seems to be pretty dangerous to get infringed code on the official Odoo App Store - they even link still to al those companies where they say they infringe - isn't that strange?

Take for example the following codes which they say they infringe or their companies infringe - actually they did not list what actually was the infringement! But as you can see many people have already bought that stuff, probably it got even multiplied in other repositories and they again, so how can you make sure that the AGPL code is not Enterprise when you not even know or ever had a look to Enterprise Code?

I think it is also very important to register the modules under FSF as only then you have a chance that they will help you to enforce the AGPL or GPL etc.
Otherwise your AGPL code gets used like the one of OCA OCB against the AGPL License regulations in proprietary software without that also the proprietary code gets published!

Kind regards
Andi

Hi all, the AGLP license is the best option. The current license of Odoo LGPL not recommended check https://www.gnu.org/licenses/why-not-lgpl.en.html

wow thanks, Mohammed - as you call them FOSS modules does it mean you have them registered as AGPL with the Free Software Foundation - that would be a really great example and very recommended to use them if that is the case! - https://www.gnu.org/licenses/why-assign.html

Subject: New FOSS Odoo 10 modules: stock invoicing, MRP Order Edit, Task stock transfer, Task auto assign, hr_payroll_commission, pos_fixes

Hi all, I would like to announce the availability of Below Free FOSS modules for Odoo 10 at locations mentioned at the end of message: - dvit_stock_picking_invoice: full stock transfer invoicing for sale, purchase and refunds as it was in v8. - dvit_mrp_production_edit:
allow editing BoM on production order and continue the production - we know the UX needs improvement ( replace the edit button and update order with a wizard) - dvit_project_task_picking: allow adding stock transfer (delivery orders) on a task and based on
the products in the transfer the system will generate Manufacturing Order or Purchase order for the required products. - dvit_task_auto_reviewer: this will auto assigns the generated tasks (from sale orders) to the product manager on the product. - dvit_hr_payroll_commission:
based on old simple module that totally re-factored and re-implemented, this will allow a company to pay commissions to employees based on the employee role (Sales person, sales team leader or sales Manager) and the commission rate integrated with payroll
and payslip. - dvit_account_analytic_required: this is the same idea of OCA module with same name but for accounts instead of account type, so we can say that only transactions on the account called Rent must have analytic account. - dvit_account_partner_required:
this will force partner on journal items that its account have reconciliation to avoid user error. - invoice_num2words: will print the invoice total in words in many languages - tested with Arabic and English - based on the python lib num2words. - pos_fixes:
ported from our v8 module, will complete the stock accounting cycle on POS and will reconcile the invoiced POS orders marking them paid. - product_pack: an incomplete port of the great IngAdhoc product_pack module from v8 to v10 - but it's working fine in
most cases. - product_pack_pos: handling IngAdhoc's product packs on POS - only fixed price packs support AFAIK . Modules are available: 1- for free from github repo: https://github.com/mohamedhagag/dvit-odoo/tree/10.0 2- for low price on the market **plz
do not buy from the market till you are satisfied with the module** as the price does not include support nor bug fixes . Finally We would appreciate the community feedback about the idea and implementation of these modules. Regards,
