Duy Vu is a certified Odoo consultant with over 4 years of experience delivering over 20 Odoo solutions for North American clients. Vu holds a Master’s degree in Information System Management, specializing in data analytics and enterprise system management.
Inline Cleaning Systems (ICS), a US-based Engineer-to-Order (ETO) company, has manufactured engineered parts washers for over 30 years. The company selected Odoo for an all-in-one solution that supports a multi-company structure and can integrate well with the engineering solution SOLIDWORKS. The Odoo-based solution developed by Novobi allowed ICS to manage all business workflows on a single system, from managing CRM, quotation, sales to tracking production, supply chain, billable time, with particular focus on optimizing project-based billing and payment processes. Odoo’s unparalleled flexibility allows ICS to deploy a nimble and adaptive approach to the manufacturing process including a flexible BOM structure for frequent changes and reworks.
The discussion will cover this specific use case for an integrated Engineer-to-Order workflow. We will also discuss how Odoo can be used to support greater flexibility in BOM synchronization, engineering change orders (ECO), and product traceability in sophisticated product life-cycle management for manufacturers. In addition to the case study, the discussion will provide valuable insights for business and engineering managers in Engineer-to-Order, Make-to-Order and Manufacturing industries in general.
