Hi there,

I'm trying to run a multitenant installation of odoo (currently still community for evaluating the installation process).

As I plan to run multiple customers within one installation, my desire is to separate these customers by databases and not simply companies.

Security also is a concern for me, and therefore, I don't want to give the db user the createdb permission, but instead pre-create the required databases (I'm running postgresql on a separate machine).

And my third challenge is, that I want to run multiple domains per customer, some for websites, some just for the odoo frontend.

Is seems like, there is no way of using the database manager to initialize existing databases, but only use it with "createdb" permission, to create new dbs. That way, it does not solve my needs, so I need to fall back to db_filer, I guess.

Anyways, my dbs currently follow the name schema odoo_aa_prd, odoo_aa_dev, odoo_bb_prd, odoo_bb_dev. This seems impractical in combination with db_filter on hostname or subdomain basis.

Does there exist any undocumented way, to map several domains with databases, that are not following the namingscheme of the hostname or subdomain?
