Históricamente, Odoo comenzó solo con su versión comunitaria, que es gratuita, de código abierto y principalmente respaldada por la comunidad Odoo. Con el tiempo, la versión Enterprise se introdujo con módulos adicionales y soporte funcional adicional ilimitado, por una tarifa. Ambas ediciones siguen creciendo, pero hay algunas características principales en las que se diferencian Odoo Community y Odoo Enterprise, como módulos, funciones, soporte, actualizaciones, corrección de errores y opciones de alojamiento.
