Odoo Experience 2015
Gaining independence with Odoo 8 in Norway
Locatie: Business Sessions / Biéreau (-1) - 03-06-2015 14:30 - 03-06-2015 14:49 (Europe/Brussels) (20 minuten)

In this presentation we will explain why a company, that apparently did not need to do so, decided to move to an ERP. And how management commitment to change and a pro-active interaction with Odoo partners did the trick of the first major implementation of Odoo V8 in Norway. Elmatica AS decided to move to an ERP environment to gain independence from an internal home-grown system. This system was requiring constant tailoring to adapt to changing business rules which, in turn, created a dependency on valuable internal resources who could contribute much more significantly elsewhere in the organization. The "open source" and "community" concepts that are foundational to the Odoo idea drove us to this ERP and there is no going back now. Sales, Purchase, CRM, Partner Portal, Accounting with more to come have replaced not only the internal system but also third party accessory tools. RESULT The fact that we run three companies in three countries with three different currencies and a corporate fourth currency did not make things any easier but Odoo -with "a little" help from our partners- really made it happen. Apart from basic coverage of some of the accounting practices we found very beneficial we will be very happy to share the addition of system intelligence to the Call for bids and quotation processes (linking everything with the Odoo Projects module). ===============================================
