Situation:

I defined a sequence for serial numbers (it's the standard):



...and it works as expected, here I can create sn's as much as I need via Manufacturing(Inventory) -> Products -> Lots/Serial Numbers in advance



But I want to create my own serial numbers while the delivery operation and defined for that:

Now I have two ways to create a new serial number from here: via the smart button "Moves" and via the little icon in the operations line


 
Well, the approach via 'Moves' → 'Serial Number' → 'New'



works with the defined sequence



but the way with the icon to open the stock move below has an own and variable logic to create a serial number




What can I do to make sure that only serial numbers are created following the defined sequence?

Odoo 18 online, no options to install modules - but maybe I can change the link in this view to "the other" serial creation function?
