We are hiring a Jr. Staff Accountant to join the team! 

Odoo is the world's top open-source ERP SaaS software and this role is key to our future success! 

The Jr. Staff Accountant will be responsible for data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, posting receipts, process purchase orders for partner commissions, managing the monthly close, and monitoring general accounting practices. This role requires excellence in many areas of accounting as you will assist with other areas within a corporate accounting function. 

This person reports to the Accounting Manager and the Director of America. This role is based in San Francisco and requires little to no travel.


  • Assist in all aspects of accounting, including revenue recognition, vendors commissions, and GL.

  • Participate in the design and implementation of company policies, including accounting processes based on best practices.

  • Lead or assist with new implementations and various ad hoc accounting projects as needed.

  • Assist with office duties when the office assistant is unavailable.
  • Take ownership over monthly close processes including.
    • Preparing financial statements of the Odoo’s US HQ branch and satellite offices

    • Preparing and reviewing journal entries

    • Reconciliation verifications

    • Accruals

    • Account flux analysis

    • Collection

    • Invoice control (pricelists, products, currencies, discounts, templates, customer information, etc.


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting.

  • 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.

  • Handle high volume of accounting tasks.

  • Must be a self-starter and willing to assumeownership of assigned projects and duties.

  • Ability to learn fast and execute accordingly.

  • Able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.

  • Able and willing to learn an entirely new accounting software and ERP system and analyze configuration details.
