In odoo 17 it is not possible to limit the visibility of the products at the point of sale in a standard way as you could do in odoo 16 with the "Limited Products Loading" function. But there is a work around to make a similar function in odoo 17.
Limiting the loading of products at the point of sale is very important, because if we have many products, the database can take a long time to load all this information and it would become very slow (to open the session, process payments, etc).
To do this function within odoo 17 should be done from the system parameters.
We must go to the Settings app > Technical > Parameters > System parameters.
Create a new parameter:
Key: point_of_sale.limited_product_count
Value: (Number of products to load)
Parameter:
How it looks the point of sale without this parameter:
Point of sale with this parameter:
This cfg will help us to have a much faster pos.
A disadvantage of this configuration is that in case we do not have internet, the point of sale will only load the quantity of the products that we have put in the parameter, in this case 10.
Todo muy bonito pero tambien existe otro problema, al momento de buscar un producto, se tiene que colocar en buscar mas para poder mostrar el registro, esta acción se me hace innecesaria ya que si el producto buscado solo tiene un resultado, de todos modos hay que darle en buscar mas, esto se debe de mejorar.
