Dear Mr. Fayolle,

My name is Jorge Caballero, a student from Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana ( in Honduras. We have a small charity project in which consists on implementing OpenERPv7 for Operation Smile Honduras. We’ve decided to use the OeMedcial Addon for patient management and other features that Operation Smile is interested in.

In the process of installation we came across some errors we are unable to solve. While installing the ‘oemedical’ everything goes as expected as well as ‘oemedical_erm’. But when I installed ‘oemedical_erm_data’ the error "AssertionError: Define an attribute model="..." in your .XML file !” is showed. I found on a forum that the OpenERP had to be installed from trunk, so I proceded to install a fresh setup from trunk, but no luck. I can send you screenshots if you need them. Do you have any idea on how to come around this error?

Thank you very much for your time.

Have a nice day,

Jorge A. Caballero M.

Hello Jorge,

I'm not an OeMedical expert (I only interacted with the project to move it from Launchpad to Github). From you message, it could be a bug in one of the components you are installing, but you don't provide enough info for me to say for sure.

I recommend sending a message to (cc'ed to this message) with subject "OeMedical installation issue". In that mail be sure to give the following information:

* what version of OpenERP / Odoo you are using
* what version of oemedical you are trying to install (where you downloaded it from would be a good start)
* the actions you performed
* the exact and complete error message you got, including any stack trace.
