The main language in my OpenERP install is French. For some clients I would like to be able to create quotes in english. When I edit a client and assign "english" as language for him, and then create a quote, I get a mix of english and French in the quote. What am I doing wrong ?

Odoo adds translation details for some words by default. If you want to change other words, you have to do it manually through the development code or in a functional way.
If you are a developer, you can follow the steps mentioned in this video to add translation to words

If you are not a developer, you can follow the steps mentioned in this video to add translation to words with the help of a text editor (you don't need to use any development tools ) and import that file back to Odoo.
