Hello community,

Is there a way to configure the exporting tool so that the blank lines have the same content of the previous line, avoiding leave blank cells? This issue occurs when there are one or more fields from another model (like sales and invoices, for example)

I need to use the exported information in a dynamic table, but the standard way how Odoo is doing it doesn't work for this purpose.

I'd appreciate your help.

The attached image from the model "sale.order" shows the commented issue (blank cells were painted in yellow to highlight)

Odoo made the blank lines for a purpose which is reimporting the exported data again to odoo.
The blank lines tells odoo that these orderlines belongs to this sale order so with out the blanks Odoo can't tell if the order has more than one orderline.

I hope you understand that you have to fill the blanks manually and there is no option to let Odoo do it for you right now.
You can request it as a new feature in the next Odoo though.

Go to Odoo in github and request a new feature.

Happy to help :) an upvote will be awesome

Thanks Amr for your response.

hmm, not true.

The blank cells can be filled in with the same data as the first row and that won't cause any issue as long as they are all exactly the same. Blank cells are not a must have.

This can be inconvenient when importing data into another database.

Hasn't anything related to this problem come up yet? this is a huge problem when you're exporting data to make a report out of it in Excel especially when it's a multi-dimensional thing in your company like exporting sales orders and stuff like that!
