While employee creation, there is a field named product under HR Settings tab. What is the actual scenario for product at time sheet category under HR Settings ? What it means?

What if said employee is performing more than one type of service (ie. linked to more than one product) ?
I am currently looking for a way to allow an employee with multiple product types. This way the different tasks can be calculated at different rates with the same employee. Does anyone know a solution to this?
