Good morning everyone,
I recently made a backup of a database before making some changes. The following day I wanted to restablish the old database without de changes. Nevertheless, the new DB doesn't show anymore any image or logo.
I did the following steps:
1. I downloaded a backup of the DB, before any changes
2. I restored de DB, uploading the zip downloaded with a new DB name
If anyone knows how to solve this problem? I'm using Odoo 12.0+ e, installed in own server

Hi,
Make sure that the file store is also copied while taking the backup. ie, while taking the database back up from the front end there is two options that is with filestore and without filestore. You have to take the backup with the filestores. If you have taken the backup including the filestore, check the pernission of the file store folders.

While encountering similar problems I finally came to your post. Unfortunately Ibrahim hasn't elaborated his data_dir path tip further.
As I try to restore my db from a prior installation to my new server (Odoo12 CE same versions) I discovered the differences in these paths.
The old server has his filestore data path under /home/pos/.local/share/Odoo/
;whereas the new server is under /opt/odoo/.local/share/Odoo/
Just coping the filestore into the new location wont solve the problem as I found out. I encounter various errors.
