I'm keen to carry Odoo ERP as a Partner (AKA Value Added Reseller).

But I came across many cases that Businesses nowadays still prefer the On-Premise version, in the way they want to host and carry out the IT maintenance on their own.

I know that Odoo is available in the form of SAAS, but is there any On-Premise version available to the market such as Malaysia?

Hi Ralph,

Ofcourse there is. You can install any version of Odoo (Odoo 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 soon) on a local server. Odoo can run on the SaaS, on Odoo.sh and on premise. You can find documentation about how to install it locally at https://www.odoo.com/documentation/11.0/setup/install.html and there are also scripts to install Odoo. You can find my script at https://github.com/yenthe666/installscript for example.

Regards,
Yenthe

What, for example, opportunities will be lost?

You can use odoo locally, but you will loose more than half of opportunities, which is related to external connections.
