I'm trying to develop a module to extend the task form of the project module in a odoo of a customer and when I query the external ID using the developer options (Edit view: Form) is empty
I can obtain View Name, View Type, Model ,Sequence, but External ID is empty so I don't know how can I inherit this form to add my custom module I'm developing

All standard, out of the box Views in Odoo have External ID's.
If you find one in a database that does not have one, it means it was created interactively from the Views Menu, by a User clicking Create.

Hi Ray,
I don't understand what you say, beceause is Odoo 16 community version so you cannot interactively create new views or forms.
And not is a view, is the form of the tasks from the project module.

Can you point us which form that you want to inherit?
Odoo 16 allows you to create new menu, form, tree, etc directly inside odoo, not just from xml. whether you are using community or enterprise edition
perhaps you did create new view and you didn't realize it. If you can point which menu you talking, perhaps we can help
