The norm is for the employee contract to be the date of the first contract as long as there are no gaps in the employee contract end and start dates.

I'm trying to understand why some employee's hire dates are set by the last contract dates with no gap between contracts (you can't overlap contract dates for the same employee).

is it affected by the working schedule and the weekend?
