hello I am new to working with odoo, I would like to know if it is possible to edit the homepage/apps page of odoo.
e.g Allow a group of users to see and access 4 applications of the list of installed applications
Also would I be able to add extra views to this page

With the help of User rights you can achieve which user can have access of certain rights to see/changes.
Steps: While Creating a new user, under that we have a option to select user rights tab. (e.g. Purchase user can only allow to access of purchase app not for like POS, Accounting, Manufacturing apps etc.)
-In this case you as administrator select blank option over other apps rights and only select User in the Purchase app for Purchase user.
To change over Home page, you required Odoo studio app. to change background of Dashboard.
