Andrés holds a master's degree in Computer Science for the University of Seville (Spain). He has always had a passion for technology and the creative process behind software development. After several years of experience in the Odoo ecosystem, he now leads a team of 9 people for one of the top Odoo partners in Spain.
Glovo is one of the industry leaders in last-mile delivery services in Europe, promising to "give everyone easy access to anything in their city."
At the end of 2021, they pose a unique challenge: to power their online supermarkets, which are open 24/7, with a technology capable of handling hundreds of thousands of orders a month and processing them in less than 10 minutes. They needed this implementation done fast because their old tool was not scaling.
With the help of Odoo 14 and several months of intense effort, we were able to deliver such results. In this presentation, we would like to share with you what we learned from this experience and show what Odoo has to offer for a hyper-growth startup like Glovo.
This talk will cover functional and the project's most important technical aspects. Both functional consultants and developers could benefit from it.
