Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is the electronic interchange of business information using a standardized format, a process that allows a company to send information to another company electronically rather than with paper.
Through a presentation and demo (Odoo 15 Enterprise), the audience will discover the features of Sodexis' XML EDI module. The demonstration will cover configuration and how to use the module to easily transform XML documents into Odoo documents such as Sales Order (850) and vendor bills (210). The module can also create output XML documents such as shipments (ASN/856) and invoices (810). This module is available in the Odoo App Store and is very flexible, e.g., it can also be used to import any document such as customer and vendor records.
After importing the XML documents via an integrated FTP module or directly into the EDI module, the documents are processed automatically based on Translation Tables that easily define the matching between the XML elements and the Odoo fields.
With this EDI module, you can automate all your processes with your customers, from creating and validating incoming orders to generating and submitting invoices.
