After three years of experience using Odoo Community and a migration of the V7 to the V12 for my previous company I decided to join the Eezee-it Flanders team in 2020.

The last year has been challenging as I have been working on pluridiscipinary implementation challenges. Starting with the implementation of digitalisation for academicals, I have been professionalizing in the fashion Industry and more specifically in integrating other very state-of-the-art service to Odoo Enterprise.

For this talk, I would like to present the business case of Live Light, a young spin-off from the well-known Belgian Ethnicraft Furniture group.

Live Light has innovated the European furniture offer by renting traditional furniture for an attractive monthly fee. This business model is already present in the US but is a real novelty for our local markets.

They started their journey with a simple Shopify eCommerce website to test the european market. As the success was imminent they vimmediatly decided to move to a more integrated solution. This is why they decided to choose for Odoo v14 Enterprise as their main Enterprise Ressource Planning solution.

In order to develop this project we have used several amazing modules of the V14 of Odoo. The central module for the customer is the Subscription module as all of its business value lies in reccurring subscriptions. Therefore, the need to have a great control and to serve its customer with a 360° view on all their operations was of great importance.

In addition, we could benefit from a very simple integration with Stripe thanks to the plug & play API built into Odoo. This allowed the customer to take over existing contracts from one system to another, which also ment a smooth and peacful system migration. This is priceless!
