We are experiencing an issue in Odoo 17 regarding product variants.

On the website, when a customer selects a product variant (e.g., size S or M), the selection is displayed correctly in the cart and order summary. However, when the order is created in Sales → Orders, the order lines only show the product name, without the selected variant attributes. This makes it difficult to fulfill orders correctly.

Details:

• The product attributes are configured to Generate Variants
• Variants are visible and selectable on the website
• Variants are active in Sales settings
• The issue occurs only in Sales Order lines (attributes are not shown)
• We expect the line to show something like: Product Name (Size: M)

Could you please advise what configuration or fix is required to ensure the selected variant is properly displayed in Sales Orders?
