Hello,

We are in the retail business. We work with retailer (B2B) selling our products.

We are using the website module in ODOO for B2B Orders. (all B2C orders are imported through a Shopify connector).

In the B2B world, there are two types of orders. Either you orders products from stock or you place pre-orders for the next season.

Currently, our ODOO website is configured to place orders on products that are on stock. I would like to configure the Website in such a way that retailers can choose between if they order products on stock or if they place a pre-order.

Pre-Orders does not show any stock value and have a delivery date in the future. On a pre-order you can have both products that are in stock as well as products with no stock.

Anyone has the same problem and have a solution already implemented ? I am on ODOO V14.

Same question for me. Right now we are using Lightspeed for out B2C and B2B webshop but pre-orders are more then 50% of our business. Lightspeed doesn't provide a stable solution for pre-orders so we are looking at different solutions. Since we're using Odoo Accountancy so Odoo might be a candidate if...

Hi Dirk,
I did not further research and could find an Pre-Order app on the app Store. I had a check what the app can do. It does 80 % of what i need .

What it does not do it to combine pre-orders with products already in stock and product for pre-order. I have asked the guys do do some custom development for me. Let's see how it goes.

Here the link if you want to check out.

Note that they told me i need to purchase as well this module for the pre-order to work. https://store.webkul.com/Odoo-Website-Product-Stock.html

All in over, it's not very expensive, but i hate hidden costs.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your swift reply. I already took a look at the webkul-solution but it has its own limitations: our B2C/B2B customers can also combine pre-orders and products in stock and pre-orders can be paid full, 10% in advance or spread (over 3 months). So problably we'll need some custom development too.

Have a nice day.
