There's two discount programs I'm trying to archive, but I'm getting this error:

This product may not be archived. It is being used for an active promotion program.

I have absolutely no idea where or how to find what is blocking them, where should I look for that?

Hello,
A product cannot be archived if it is still attached to an active promotion program.(reward)
The product is being used as either the discount product or one of the discounted products inside a loyalty reward.
Remove it from the promotion program or deactivate the promotion, and Odoo will allow archiving.

I understand this, the problem is finding this promotion or something that is blocking it.

Hello 

You’re probably trying to archive a product that is still being used in the Discount Product field of a Loyalty Reward. Odoo won’t allow archiving as long as the product is referenced there.

The solution is to assign a different product to the loyalty reward — you can even create a dedicated product specifically for loyalty discounts.

How to check and fix it:

  1. Go to Sales → Discounts & Loyalty.
  2. Open the relevant loyalty program record.
  3. In the form, scroll to Rules and Rewards — you’ll see two tabs/sections.
  4. Click on Rewards.
  5. A popup will open. Look for the Discount Product field.
  6. If it’s using the product you want to archive, change it to another product.
  7. Repeat the check for other loyalty reward records if needed.

Once the product is no longer referenced in any loyalty reward, you’ll be able to archive it without issues..
