I agree with Nhomar that the differences between Latin American terms lie mainly in the accounting and warehouse applications. We at Nubark contributed to the Colombian Spanish Translation, and for many parts we based our work in the progress of the Ecuador branch, as their contributors had made a lot of work before we started, specially Rick Hunter. So, we believe that their work would be a great choice for the Latin American localization. Nevertheless, there do exist many differences that we will have to tackle for the Colombian market, and thus, we will eagerly wait for your instructions in how to contribute our translations directly in Github.

Our question today is which one should we use? Is there a translation that you know has a higher quality or is closer to the "standard" Latin America Spanish (even if I am aware it is not always clear)? (and try to be neutral with your own language please ;-)) Is it better to start from scratch?

Poin1: +1 Let's start from Scratch in all es_** it is not so much big deal to work with that.

Pont2: no there are such thing as main terms for all latin america, we worked in 7 countries and all of them mostly Accounting/warehouse differs.

Point3: I really like the Idea of propose the es_** ONLY with github, just to be clear we think your guidance is so much necesasary.

Point4: IF it works for you we develop a Lint for PO files (we use for our managed project pure github, no transifex at all) and it helped A LOT to find inconsistent po files.

@moylop260 (copied) can explain better this topic.

IF I must vote for a country I think México is the correct one due to the fact that almost all accounting laws are born from the Mexican Accounting Standard (source[1]) BUT it is since 1951 that is evolve a LOT, and now such institution is devoted to standarize  little the accounting in the region.

BUT almost any country follow a single strategy, there are a lot of different ways to call things (even between companies in the same coutry) left only one should done by volume of work done not any other reason, and as that for sure WILL be different it is better start from scratch and simply a very good manual and lint manager to evolve quicker.

Regards.
