Re: From Launchpad to Transifex: migration tomorrow

Dear Martin,

I would appreciate it if you would increase my role in Bosnian translation team (bs), my username is mangefort, my username on launchpad was koljenovic (IRNPS). I also have done some translations for our local deployment as the launchpad version was not getting synced.

Best regards,
Malik Koljenovic

Hello translators,

The migration to Transifex is going quite well. The translations teams
are starting to get in places. We still requires a manual approval (to
avoid too much noise) but we will open it the teams soon.
We plan to make the full migration tomorrow. It will happens as follow:

1. block the access to translators on Launchpad
2. fetch one last time the translations from Launchpad to GitHub
3. send the new translations to Transifex
4. validate of every translations on Transifex
5. open the access to Transifex to any new translators
6. start the synchronisation of translations based on Transifex

Please note that it will take a few hours to complete so be patient.

You can find the new translation documentation at the following URL that
will be used a a basis for new translators.

The list of languages is at:
(may evolve a bit, see below)

The current teams are defined at the following address:
(where is fr, nl_BE, it,...)

If there is still no coordinator or reviewer in the team for your
language (excluding mart_e, that's me), please contact us so we can name
you responsible of the language.

We will also take advantage of the migration to clean a few languages.
Many languages have zero or very few terms translated. We will drop the
translation support for these languages. We prefer to focus on
completing main translations before spreading on every regional
variations of languages.
This does not mean we refuse to translate odoo in these languages. If,
in the future, somebody is motivated enough to translate odoo, we are of
course open to readd them.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions.
