Hi Ray,

You could make the truck location an in-transit location not under the warehouse. You could also set the in/out stock GL code on the location to an asset account so that it shows on your balance sheet. This would mean that the qty would not be shown on hand while in the transit location and the asset will show on the books.

You could use procurement rules to push/pull the stock from the truck location to the internal stock location.

Quantity on hand increases when the goods are on the truck. The quantity on hand can't increase until the truck gets  back.

Instead of the normal shipping process, the Customer sends a truck for the items.  At the time the Vendor puts the items on the truck, they belong to the Customer – so Odoo needs to show those items ‘in stock’ for asset valuation purposes, but not ‘in stock’ for being available to ship in the warehouse purposes:
