Re: Search Menu Styling/ layoutby
Thank you for those screen shots. Do you plan to have the same function that you have in the reporting views/ in standard views?
For example it was be awesome if I could filter out criteria (hide and show different columns) in a standard list view. The screen shots You shared of the reporting views, allow me to do that , however I cannot click into specific records to see the related transaction. I also dont feel that what I'm asking is really meant for the reporting views anyway, as I see the reporting views to be more of a detailed overview, rather then specific information.
I really like the layout in the screen shots provided, it looks like a lot was done to improve the area in which my request was based around.
Do you plan on implementing drop down menus for the other search views (not just reporting)?
In version 8, we included all the features of the reporting/search engine (like the pivot table, clean dashboards, ...)
And, in version 9 (will be available for SaaS customers in a few weeks) the layout has been improved as seen in attachment. (already in master)

I agree on the v7 niceness over v8. I am not sure what issue the change was trying address.

I was wondering if anybody has the same feeling about me regarding the lack of organization with the search menu.
I find that the layout limits the ability to save more than a few custom searches, without the menu becoming unmanageable . Has anybody done anything in order to improve upon this. Is it possible to create drop-down menus with the various options for filters and grouping, rather than having them all listed together?
In my opinion the layout of the search menu was far better in version 7 then in version 8, however I believe with drop down menus listing the various filterable object criteria, would be the best possible solution.
Can anybody point me in the right direction or give me some insight on the above?
