Your setup seems well tuned for SAAS hosting, but we're starting to deploy Ansible to manage a more "classical" mix of dedicated hosts/LXCs where each has different purpose and software. The wonderful thing about Ansible is thanks to SSH & powershell there's no agent to setup, and it's easy to delegate admin tasks to power-users. Do you expect to extend your solution to generic non-SAAS environments ? > I don't think I'd be able to have this kind of backoffice on > Chef/Puppet/Salt/Ansible so I really think they are complementary. Ansible has one that looks really great, but it's proprietary and quite expensive: http://www.ansible.com/tower Salt has tried several times to get one be failed to this date. Now, their community has a reputation for openness so maybe they'd be good partners? Lionel.
