Hi Community
Hi Alexis Delattre (Akretion - Base_Phone)

thanks for the excellent feedback. Base_Phone, was a good hint and it does exactly this.

Maybe, Leonardo, you can give an opinion about if it satisfies standard compliance in a sufficient way (from first sight I would say so).

If nobody oposes, I would queue the following tasks into Ongoing Colombian Localization Efforts (OCLE):

1. Port the module to V8 (eventually make improvements - if we find something) - make it a core patch (eg.
2. Create a comprehensive bug report to the hands of Odoo's Usability Strategy, fpodoo
3. File an adequate pull request.
4. Ask here for focused lobbying to realize a quick win / no brainer.

Any additional opinions or any kind of objections?

I agree, every field that has multiple formats (phone numbers, time,
addresses) should be stored in a standard format in the database and
let the client manage what format to display.
Odoo already does this for datetimes, too bad they made the insane
choice of not storing the timezone.
