Try running OpenERP with the --workers option.
It protects you better from memory leaks and as a bonus concurrent operations will be handled faster.

I just wonder what is the idea behind the 2 parameters

    --limit-time-cpu=LIMIT_TIME_CPU
Maximum allowed CPU time per request (default 60).
    --limit-time-real=LIMIT_TIME_REAL
Maximum allowed Real time per request (default 120).

can these be turned off by setting them to 0 ?

reasons
  • some reports take a long time (general ledger, etc) and will just stop just because of this limit ?
  • if under heavy load reasonable  long running processes (1-2 minutes), may just stop, because other processes on the server are slowing down the computer and the process will take 2-4 minutes "real time"
how can this be solved?
