views and reports, entered by the user, not by a custom module, are not source code so do not appear to be covered by these references either.
There is no concept of 'customer' in the license.

Anders, thanks for the clarification - it would appear that this does offer the ability to sell custom views and reports - your customer pays you some money, you give them the source code and they can install it. They could also sell the source code, just like you did. If a customer doesn't want to pay you they are not your customer and you don't need to give them any code whatsoever. Thus you don't actually need to publish your code publicly, on github, or anywhere for that matter.Have I got this idea right ?regardsKurtDen 2014-09-05 17:18, Kurt Haselwimmer skrev:<blockquote cite="mid:3C528EB2-607D-4407-94C4-EA81B6542CF7@hertford-developments.co.uk" type="cite">
does that mean custom views and reports too ?
You can't distribute a custom view or report built for Odoo, not usable on other platform than Odoo, with an another licence than AGPL.
But have in mind that AGPL are pointed to your customer. If your customer wants the source code they have bought from you, you have to provide them with it. Your customer are free to change in your code and redistribute it to others if they want to. But you don't have to provide your code to a third part if you don't want to. You can create a portfolio of reports that you sell to your customers as long as you give them the same AGPL licence that you got from Odoo.

This is not going to be open source so I'm contacting you off the list. All developments around Odoo HAVE TO BE OpenSource, otherwise you're violating the AGPL license!!! :-(
