Got the same,

1/ modify the view code
2/ -u option for updating the module
3/ webpage: delete the previous inserted snippet block
4/ webpage: drag & drop new snippet block with new code

The main problem is, if your snippet was inserted in a lot of webpages, you need to re-insert & perhaps reconfigure your visual blocks in all pages.
Am I wrong?

As far as I understand the view is re-installed after -u flag for openerp-server.
You should add your snippet to the view located on file system I guess.

Max.
