Maybe it's time Odoo support SQL SERVER or ORACLE for once, if they ever want to enter sometime to the Corporate System world. (and if Larry Ellison doesn't beat to death to Mr. Pinckaers with his billions just for daring)
Try read a little deeper about an objective comparison about Postgresql and the solutions you just mentioned:
- Database comparison: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_relational_database_management_systems
As you can see in terms of "enterprise" you do not have anything in oracle than postgresql can not afford.
Beside that if you need proffesional services or simple go deeper to not think something is "comic" more than the leak of knowledge itself, you can buy proffesional services from the veryright professionals behind postgresql: http://www.enterprisedb.com/solutions/replication
As usual, google is your friend, stackoverflow is your friend, but the author and maintainer of an opensource tool is the right person to help you some times when things become seriously "enterprise".
I personally prefer a proper workflow manager and graphical process designer (already in another thread mentioned) than expend time in those shitty DB systems you just mentioned (remember *popular* does not makes you *better* by default).
Even on SqlServer and Oracle to make a serious implementation you need proffesional services and/or extra licences, Why not expend that money on postgresql itself?.
