Re: Custom Furniture Manufactureby
Kevin, We have solved a similar problem with BOM and routing based solution. Also, for BOM pricing and margin handling we needed to create a custom module.

- multi-level BOMs with common routing across levels (eg all the materials need to go through a single CNC process, but only some need to go through varnishing)
- non-standard production (they make some standard products, but many are one-offs)
- handling wastage
- labour recovery
- outwork from within a MO
also, they send m3 of wood out to an external supplier who cuts in into various width/depth combinations. They want to include the cost of the outwork (costed at $ per M of supplied end product) plus pro-rata the cost of wood as raw material and then book new products into stock and decrement raw materials supplied - I can see how to build a module to handle but wondered if anyone has already done something similar.
