Re: [10.0] Bad layout when accessed from outside of localhost

Hello Jakub,

I tried to change it by the server IP (http://192.168.1.67:9069 ← custom port because I’m using virtualbox) and it does nothing. But if I activate developer mode with assets (Activate the developer mode (with assets)), everything works perfectly. Oh BTW, the messy layout is for admin only, but not for normal user. Why is that?

Hello,

you have to activate developer mode, then go to Technical -> Parameters -> System parameters. check web.base.url (check jpg).

I have experience that for some reason odoo was unable to reload this parameter according to url you visited it (it was version 8) but I presume, that it could happen in every version. It was looking the same - from localhost was everything fine but when you went there with other url (IP or DN) it wasnt working properly. Connect via localhost and check that variable and compare it while you are connected via different url. I think it could cause lots of problems if that variable is not proper (no pictures, no all css files etc).

Hope it helps

Hello Jakub,

What do you mean with global variables?

Here another screenshots of Request for Quotation, see that the view mode button doesn't have any icons.

Hey Andre,

It seems as problem with global variables to me.

Could you just check it, please?

I have no time to google it for you right now, however I had similar problem and global variables were the issue.

Jakub

Hello Community,

I have tried odoo 10 and I can use it normally on localhost. But when I
open it from outside of localhost using my IP (I'm using my office's LAN
network) the layout becomes a mess.

I have attached some screenshot of this problem. Any help would be
appreciated.
