Re: Mexican localizationby
The module city of the OCA could be deprecated for v10 because now is in native modules.
Thanks Nhomar and sorry Maxime for the hijack. But this has been a shock for us, and we're still trying to understand. For example, we see some commits in v10 like that make us think that, in order to adapt Odoo to the enterprise Mexican localization, somethings solved in our Spanish localization with community modules are going to be broken... Is somebody thinking about this in the long term or are you only focused in Mexico? Is there any roadmap on what is going to be developped that can be shared with the community?

Hello Carlos.short answer "Both".We are working side by side to support all the features necessary for the country, and Odoo is doing a great job to include what ever it takes (community or not) to prepare the data model and the structure to comply with such deal. The point is that with this work is the same that work with any other Partner around the world (community or not) just that this time we (and Odoo) are expending a huge effort in be care stay in the core and have a long term vision together. With our experience in all the community work done with 7 localization we think we have the know how to improve several things positively. Some designs and feature are being done with the objective to be as reusable as possible for other localization, but this is the first one done in this way, then let's see the final result will impact positively to A LOT of countries.Regards.------------------------------
