Hi;
I used nginx with dbfiltering to achieve that. i guess you want something like the example: kinsolve.com  and demo.kinsolve.com.  If you are a developer, you can find your way around, with the following references:

Also, in your odoo-server.conf file, set the  dbfilter = %h  . Then let your database be created with the name. e.g. domain-com  and demo-domain-com. for my own odoo instance; i created two databases with name: kinsolve-com  and demo-kinsolve-com   .

if you would like, i can send you my full nginx config file and the steps i followed. But the reference links above should be enough for you.
