Legaly on v8 it's AGPLv3 so legaly your customer has the full right on your code that he use.

This is in fact one of the purposes of open source, protect the customer against an integrator that want keep him depend on his integrator...

So your customer is free to use the software, he's free to have the code, he's free to distribute the code and he's free to go to see someone else with this code... the code for which you have been paid to produce AFAIU...

Dear Community,

We installed odoo V8 (with lots of customized modules and a php script) on a customer’s local server. The customer owns the server, and he requested to have admin user on the server’s OS (Ubuntu Server).

What can we do to secure our code (code encryption), and what level of contractual agreement should be signed in case something goes wrong?

Best Regards,

Mohamed Saada
