Re: Issue with newsletter images in Odoo 9by
First of all thank you for your response.
I was using the built in one. I have sent a newsletter containing only the image without style and with width and height set to "" and nothing has changed.
Are you building your own mass mailing themes, or using the built in one?
If you're building your own have you applied any styles to your <img> tag?
Try and strip them out and apply width/height using the width="" and height="" attributes and see if this fixes the issue.

Hello I'm new to this mailing group.
I'm working with Mass Mailing module (Odoo 9) and I get the following issue:
I'm trying to send a newsletter with an image. This image has been uploaded with mass mailing. The problem is that gmail and Thunderbird don't show it. Hotmail does. After some research, I found this:- For uploaded images, Mass mailing uses in URL names like "example.com/web/image/2051" without image extension.- Gmail doesn't like images without .jpg, .png or .gif extensions.
- Images in Odoo themes and templates, have image names with extension and images are shown.
I would like to know if there is a way to upload images in Mass Mailing and have the warranty that will be shown in any email client.
I have thought in attaching images in the static directory of a custom module, and also in using a web image hosting, but I would like to know if there is a better solution.
I will be grateful for any help you can provide.Best regards.
