Re: Product to belong to only specific Warehousesby

Not sure it's a common problem for the case Product-WH
We have several customers where WH represents some business units or branch. In this case we add this field on many of their object (not product in our case, but it's the same concept) where they want filtering per branch/WH. Then using Record rules to apply the restriction. It works pretty well.

Thanks for the answer. But what we are looking at is more like, security rule of product to specific warehouses. As such, in the Product dropdown list, it could be filtered by warehouse, and not listing everything in the system. (i..e, in multi companies/warehouse environment, we don't want to mix things).I was thinking of adding warehouse field in product. But I am not sure it is a good idea, so want to see what is the best practice to this problem.I think it is common problem enough, is it not?KittiOn Sun, Aug 7, 2016 at 10:47 AM, Prihadi Ramadhany <firstname.lastname@example.org> wrote:
Few days ago there is a post about push away....
if the need its to make sure a specific product must go to a specific location...I think push away is the answer 😊Dear Community,Are there way to control that a product belong to some warehouses? For example, when create DO or SO and choose picking type with source location from Warehouse A, then only products allowed can be chosen in product lines.Or, when do the Transfer of product from Warehouse A to warehouse B, only product allowed in both warehouses can be chosen. Many thanksKitti
