Try to reproduce the error in the shell. Login as the user who owns the
Odoo server and exec the command as shown in the error message, ex:

/usr/bin/pg_dump --no-owner --username=xxxxx
--host=xxxxx.xxxxxxx.rds.amazonaws.com --port=5432
--file=/tmp/tmpAf_WRY/dump.sql xxxx

With a bit of luck that will show you a more verbose message than 'error 1'.
