As usual, you are completely wrong in your assessments:
1. POS might take 15min to start: might be true but this is irrelevant with your statement: you do it one time and usually in the morning before your customers arrive in the shop...
2. POS works perfectly offline after the session is started. It detects the state of the connexion and will flush accordingly the data.
I am not even sure you have actually installed the POS module in your laptop to do some simple tests.

I do agree though that general speed of the POS might be an issue in some intensive environment

:-) good calculation Dominique, the ques in that Odoo supermarket might get very very long with waiting customers.

I think the main problem beside speed of the POS System even in smaller businesses is the fact that it is not working when offline. Unfortunately the internet isn't as stable al the time in many regions Odoo could be very useful. Our biggest competitor here i.e. are all those POS systems from CASIO which get even sold over Metro/Makro. And they don't have those problems but perhaps others ;-). It is really not easy with the current state of the ODOO POS offline capabilities to convince customers which have i.e. several branches or which are sales representatives visiting homes etc.
